terms & privacy
last updated: 3 may 2026
1about ohmybaby
ohmybaby is a small web + mobile app we built for our own daughter — to track newborn feeds, diapers, sleep, reminders, and little moments. we share access with friends and family who ask. by signing up, you accept these terms.
2privacy
your data is yours, and only yours.
what we collect
- account info: your email address and a hashed password.
- tracking entries you log: feeds, diapers, sleep, naps, pumping, reminders, todos, appointments, custom events, and your baby's profile fields (name, date of birth, etc.) if you choose to enter them.
- photos: diaper or moment photos that you optionally attach to entries. stored privately, scoped to your household.
- household membership: who is in your household and the invite codes used to join.
- technical metadata: timestamps and minimal device/session data needed to keep you signed in and to sync changes between devices.
what we do NOT collect
- we do not use third-party advertising or marketing analytics. there are no trackers, no ad SDKs, no fingerprinting.
- we do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone for advertising or profiling.
- we do not collect location data, contacts, microphone, calendar, or any device sensor data.
- we do not read or analyze the content of your logs to build user profiles.
how it's stored
data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest on industry-standard cloud infrastructure. each family has its own private household — your entries and photos are not visible to other households.
service providers
we use a small set of trusted third-party services strictly as data processors on our behalf. they are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
- Supabase — managed Postgres database, authentication, file storage, and realtime sync.
- Cloudflare — static site hosting, content delivery, and bot/abuse protection (Turnstile captcha) at sign-up and sign-in.
- Apple App Store / Google Play — app distribution. neither store has access to your in-app data.
retention & deletion
you can delete individual entries (feeds, diapers, photos, etc.) at any time from inside the app. to delete your entire account and all associated data, email us at [email protected] from your account email — we will erase your data within 30 days. routine encrypted backups may retain data for up to 30 additional days before being permanently overwritten.
children's data
ohmybaby is intended for use by parents and caregivers aged 18 or older. we do not knowingly create accounts for, or solicit data from, children under 13. the app stores tracking data about a child (because that's what a baby tracker does), but the account is held by the adult parent and the child does not interact with the app directly. if you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
your rights
regardless of where you live, you may:
- access the data we hold about you (it's mostly visible inside the app already)
- correct or update it (edit any entry, anytime)
- export it (contact us — we'll send a JSON export)
- delete it (see "retention & deletion" above)
- withdraw consent / close your account
users in the european union, united kingdom, or other regions with data-protection laws (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, etc.) have these rights as a matter of law; we extend the same rights to everyone.
push notifications, ads, analytics
at the time of writing, ohmybaby does not send push notifications, show ads, or run product analytics. if any of these are added in the future, this policy will be updated and we will tell you before turning them on.
3medical disclaimer
ohmybaby is a logging tool — it helps you remember and notice patterns. it is not a medical device, not a diagnostic tool, and not a substitute for professional medical advice.
sleep estimates, soothing windows, daily averages, and similar derived metrics are heuristics — they may be wrong. trust your instincts and your doctor first.
4license & warranty disclaimer
ohmybaby is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. this includes (but is not limited to) warranties of:
- merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation
- accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any data, calculation, reminder, or chart
- availability — the service may go down, be slow, lose data, or be discontinued at any time
you use ohmybaby entirely at your own risk.
5limitation of liability
this includes — but is not limited to — any health-related decision made based on data shown in the app, any data loss or corruption, missed feeding/medication reminders, or any disruption to your family's routine.
if anything goes wrong, we will try our best to help — but you accept that the app is provided "as is" with no guarantees, regardless of whether you are using only the free tier or a paid add-on.
6your account & acceptable use
- you must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority in your country) to create an account.
- you are responsible for keeping your password safe and for any activity on your account.
- do not abuse the service: no spamming, scraping, automated load testing, attempts to access other households' data, or any unlawful use.
- do not upload illegal, abusive, or harmful content.
- we reserve the right to suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms.
7changes & termination
because the app is actively maintained, we may change features, the schema, or these terms over time. material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date above. for significant privacy-related changes we will notify you in-app or by email before they take effect.
we may pause, restrict, or shut down the service at any time, with or without notice. if you have important data, please export it periodically by contacting us.
8governing law & jurisdiction
ohmybaby is offered globally. these terms are governed by the laws of the country where you reside, to the extent permitted by local law. consumer-protection rights granted to you by your local jurisdiction (such as GDPR for EU/UK residents, or CCPA for California residents) are not waived by these terms.
where local law permits, any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be handled through the courts of your country of residence; we will not require you to travel to a foreign jurisdiction to enforce your rights.
